Worthy Causes
It seems the less money I have, the more worthy causes I find! No matter how tight things may be for us, we should always consider that economic impacts affect those with lesser means to a greater extent. Non-profit organizations, which are largely funded by donations, often feel the pinch of a bad economy even more tightly than for profit businesses. So consider maintaining your usual contribution to your favorite charities this year. They need it!
Embrace
Traditional incubators usually cost $20,000.00 each. This non-profit manufactures an incubator for closer to $20 a unit. This organization saves lives, and changes the dynamics of family planning and infant care in the developing world. Seriously cool stuff.
New Village Charter
New Village Charter is an amazing charter school in the Los Angeles area that allows girls to learn in a safe, encouraging environment. The girls can benefit from individualized learning programs, and associated free programs, such as the Bogen Family Center, and St. Anne’s, which provides free day-care service and counseling for students who happen to be parents. The students who have young children don’t have to let some early choices deprive them of receiving a great education. If you have the capacity to give, I strongly encourage you to take a look at this organization.
